Corona Virus Update 18 March 2020, by Ms Navin

Date: 18th Mar 2020 @ 4:17pm

Please see attached newsletter detailing how your children can log onto websites and programmes for learning at home if they are currently off school and in the event of a school closure.

Corona Virus Updates, by Ms Navin

Date: 17th Mar 2020 @ 11:30am

Government advice is to keep schools open. Park View remains open with the following changes to our usual routines.

  • visitors and volunteers kept to a minimum - only essential visitors will be allowed into school
  • parent events postponed (no celebration assemblies, stay and play, science show case etc.)
  • regular hand washing and cleaning of surfaces
  • trips and visits to museums etc. and sporting events postponed
  • only essential parent meetings to take place

Parents/carers are asked to contact school via telephone for any queries where possible to reduce the number of additional people in school.

We are continuing with regular talks with children about health and personal hygiene.

Another update will be posted later today with links to online learning for those children who are not currently attending school. These links can be used by all children and will be the main source of off-site work if the government directs schools to close.

Links to government advice websites will also be posted later today on a separate newsletter.

CORONA VIRUS UPDATE, by Ms Navin

Date: 16th Mar 2020 @ 10:27am

The Government  has made the decision that it is not yet appropriate to close schools however this is under review. At Park View we are continuing to follow guidance issued by Public Health England, Department for Education and the Local Authority.

The latest advice is if anybody has either: a high temperature and a new, continuous cough then they should self-isolate for 7 days. If the conditions get worse during this time then you should ring the coronavirus service on 111. Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

Some trips and visits that were scheduled to take place this week have been postponed. If this affects your child, you will have already received a text notification.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Parents Drop IN, by Mrs Bowden

Date: 19th Nov 2019 @ 8:44pm

Year 4 parents enjoyed the  afternoon drop in session.  They enjoyed seeing ' Lexia' first hand. After reading everybody was excited to learn about the Ancient Egyptians and why the death masks were so important. Paretns and pupils enjoyed the art session designing and making a mask. Look at the photos on the Gallery to see some of the fantastic work .
