Windrush Work Year 6P

Date: 19th Oct 2022 @ 9:28pm

During Black History Month Year 6 completed a study about the Windrush generation- the generation that came form the Caribbean to Britain to help rebuild the country and the economy after the second world war. The name windrush generation was given to people who made the journey from the UK from 1948 to 1973. Not all  people who came to live in the UK during this time came on the same Windrush ship.  Windrush day is celebrated 22nd June each year to  highlight the rich legacy and contributions of the Windrush generation to the UK.

The children produced a range of work to commerate the Windrush experience.
