Happy new year and welcome back to school! We hope you all had an enjoyable and restful break from school.
We have loved welcoming the children back into school and we are excited for the new term ahead.
This half term our topic is 'seasons and the natural world'. We have asked the children for their ideas on this topic and what they already know or want to know about seasons and the natural world. Here are some of their thoughts....

We also have 'We Are Adventurers' working with our children on a Friday afternoon. During this outdoor session, the children learn lots about the natural world around them. Ask your child what they did in 'We Are Adventurers' this week! The children created a home for the animals out of sticks then camouflaged them with leaves and sticks from the forest floor.
We also have a 2 new additions to the Reception team - Park View Puppy and Park View Panda. These animals will be going home with a child from each class once a week (every Friday). They would like to spend a weekend with you at home to learn a little bit about you and your family. We hope you have a good weekend with Panda and Puppy and write down or draw some of the things you have done with them. Please bring it back into school on Monday to share with your teachers and friends.
