We made a rainbow!

This week the children have taken part in a colour mixing science experiment. We used skittles and warm water to create the rainbow. The children predicted what they thought was going to happen. We talked about how the skittles are coated in coloured sugar and when the sugar DISSOLVES this is what caused the rainbow pattern in the water.

These are some of the comments the children made "it's a rainbow......it's spiralling.......it's melting.....it's a colourful pattern"
