Science Week

The theme for science week in year 5 was space travel. Children thought about rockets and how they can travel to space. Year 5 also designed, built and launched their rockets. See some photos below of children designing and launching their rockets 

Network Rail Visit 

As part of Science Week, Year 5 were also visited by two engineers from Network Rail. They discussed how engineers design and build railways. They also showed children the equipment that engineers use when working on the railway tracks and children had the opportunity to use and wear the equipment.
