Random act of kindness day

Date: 17th Feb 2022 @ 7:21pm

Today we celebrated 'random act of kindness' day.....we had a day off timetable and the whole day was dedicated to KINDNESS!

We shared different ways we can be kind to our friends, teachers and family members, we nominated a friend if they were 'caught being kind', we listened to a song all about sharing and being kind to each other, we read 'The Smartest giant in town' and 'Superworm' and discussed how the characters were kind to each other. You may have noticed your child coming home with lots of stickers today......the teachers were tired out from spotting all the children doing kind things! Although today was a dedicated day that we all enjoyed, we encourage the children to be kind everyday!

Some comments from the children throughout the day.....

"thank you for this kindness heart"

"if your friend falls over, pick them up and help them"

"I like giving my pet dog a cuddle if it feels upset"

"using kind words, be nice to your friends"

"when someone falls over you can help them up and take them to a teacher"

"using kind words like please and thank you"

"saying peoples names"

"if someone wants to play with you you say yes"

"have kind hands"

"you can give your friends a cuddle"

"I share food with my brother"

"when someone is upset asking if they're okay and if they would like to play with me"

"making a picture for a friend"

"I put hearts on a note because it's for my mum"
