Parents Drop IN, by Mrs Bowden

Year 4 parents enjoyed the  afternoon drop in session.  They enjoyed seeing ' Lexia' first hand. After reading everybody was excited to learn about the Ancient Egyptians and why the death masks were so important. Paretns and pupils enjoyed the art session designing and making a mask. Children's Rights , by Park View Community Primary School

Children from a number of different classes came together to work with our lunchtime organisers. They discussed what children's rights are all about and how the lunchtime organisers support children in our school to access their rights during lunchtime. The children and staff really enjoyed working together on this activity and will come up with a playground charter based on the rights that they thought were most important to them during lunchtime. 

Air Pollution , by Park View Community Primary School

The children at Parkview are investigating air pollution in the local area. Article 24states that children have the right to a clean environment. As a school we are looking for ways to reduce air pollution in our local area. 

The Lord Mayor, by Park View Community Primary School

Our School Council went to visit The Lord Mayor. School Council were invited to have mince pies and a drink with The Lord Mayor. We used this opportunity to ask her questions about Children’s Rights & Air Pollution in our local area. 

Easter writing competition. , by Park View Community Primary School

Earlier this term Park View Community school entered an Easter writing competition. 
We were thrilled to find out that we had been chosen as the winners and received 6 chick eggs that have recently hatched and grown very quickly!
Here is Grace from Year 4 who’s writing about a magical dragon, captured the judges’ attention and was awarded as the winner of the competition.
