Welcome back to Nursery

Date: 6th Jan 2023 @ 3:36pm

Happy New Year and Welcome back to Spring term in Nursery! The children have all returned to school calm and focused. We have all been really impressed!

Our topic this half term is food. We are going to be doing some food tasting so please do let us know if there are any allergies that we may not already know about!

Next week we will be looking at the different foods that animals eating and learning about carnivores and herbivores. Maybe you could talk about these words with your children this weekend.

On Monday, you will recieve your child's first reading book. This is a story book for you to enjoy with your child. Reading to our children is so important as it helps build vocabulary and learn about a range of things. It also gives them a good baseline for learning to read for themselves. They learn which direction to read in and how to turn the pages.

Reading books will be handed out on a Monday and need to be returned by Thursday.

Once the children are used to this new routine we will then introduce books for them to read but I will arrange a parent meeting to introduce these.

Here are some pictures of our first week back!
