Science Week

Date: 17th Mar 2022 @ 8:06pm

This week we have been celebrating science week and all things about 'Growth'. The children have taken part in lots of activities this week linked to human growth and have shown a real enjoyment, enthusiasm and lots of knowledge around this topic.

In particular, it brought up a lot of discussions about past and present. The children have discussed lots of things that they couldn't do as a baby but can do now as a 4 or 5 year old......

"when I was a baby I crawled, now I walk and run"

"when I was a baby I drank milk out of a bottle, now a cup"

"when I was a baby I sat in a high chair, now I sit on a chair"

"I used to have baby food around my mouth when my mum feeds me, but now I feed myself"

"when I was 2, I went to nursery, now I go to school"

"I used to wear a nappy when I was a baby but I don't now"

"I couldn't speak or play but now I can"

We also discussed the importance of being healthy and how that can help us grow....

"eat healthy foods"

"sleep"

"exercise"

"drink milk and water"
