Saliva and enzymes!

Date: 20th Nov 2020 @ 9:53am

As part of our 'Animals and Humans' topic in science, Year 6 have been looking at the digestive system. This week we studied how salive and enzymes in our mouths break down food to make it easier to swallow. We did some practical work, eating cream crackers, to see what happens when we don't have enough saliva to break down the food. The results were quite amusing as you can see in the photos!
