Our sensory garden is growing....

Date: 29th Jun 2022 @ 5:08pm

This week in Science we have been looking at growth....in particular plants. We had lots of discussions about what plants need to grow. What enviornments help them to grow, how we need to take care of them and how we can use plants / herbs and vegetables once they have grown. Soon we will be encouraging the children to use the herbs and vegetables in our mud kitchen to create their own recipes!

Here are some photos of our sensory garden and some comments from the children......

"the lavender has grown"

"I saw the carrots have grown"

"The beans have turned into tall trees"

"the mint smells like toothpaste"

"the corn has grown"

"I've got his plant at home"

"that smells like curry"

"I hope we can eat the corn soon"

"the plants and grass and bushes have grown"

"they have grown in the sun and rain"
