Inuit carvings

As part of our 'Frozen Kingdoms' topic, Year 6 have been studying the art of the 'Inuit' culture in the frozen north of Canada. We looked at videos and images of soapstone carvings that the Inuit people had made and tried to replicate this using soft soap. We made carvings of animals found in the frozen north, such as: polar bears. penguins, arctic hares, seals and the narwhal.
