February Half Term in your local library!

Date: 12th Feb 2021 @ 9:37am

Hello everyone!

It's Half Term next week and Greater Manchester Libraries are putting on some fantastic FREE activities!

Free half term craft bags

These are available at the following libraries:

Avenue Library in Blakely

Abraham Moss Library in Crumpsall

Beswick Library

Newton Heath LIbrary

North City library in Harpurhey

The bags are filled with craft activities, colouring sheets, puzzles and word searches to keep children entertained over the holiday. You can also choose a free gifting book from your library. Supplies are limited so it's first come, first served for parents to collect at their local libraries.

International Mother Language Day

Manchester is a richly diverse city with around 200 languages spoken here. Whatever language you and your family speak at home, we want to share and  learn about each other's wonderful traditions and cultures and so we have a great free programme of multilingual things to do on the Manchester Libraries Facebook page:

Facebook.com/manchesterlibraries

From Monday 15 Feb til Friday 19 Feb at 11am there are lovely Story Times in Portuguese, French, Yoruba, Lithuanian with English. Then Saturday 20th February we have a full day of online activities from 10.30am til 4pm  with Indian Kathak dance and drumming workshop, West Indian Folk and Reggae, Sufi Singing and music plus Kites and Hands of Friendship crafts in Urdu and English, The Hungry Caterpillar in Spanish, poetry, songs and much more.
