Exciting visitors in Nursery

Date: 20th Oct 2022 @ 2:01pm

Today was an exciting day in Nursery - we had some visitors! Our visitors arrived on a big red fire truck! They were fire fighters and they had come to talk to us all about keeping safe during the Autumn season. The children all listened really well and came up with good questions and comments. They especially enjoyed seeing Fireman Mike showing us his uniform.

'The firefighters fight fires.'

'You need gloves, hats and a scarf.'

'It's actually called the fire and rescue service. Not just fires.'

'You got to stay back from the big fire so you don't get hot.'

'Burnt. So you don't get burnt.'

'Air on his back becuase he needs to breathe.'

We also learnt that the fire fighters had once had to rescue a horse out of a swimming pool and a tiger from the airport!
